Update #16: New American Masters - Volume 4 Update
Dear Backers -
Thank you for your patience! It's been a very long year with a total of FIVE newly commissioned works premiered in concert this season. We have only been able to get into the studio since we finished out our concert series in March. Now, with only two works remaining, we should finally finish recording this 4th volume of commissioned works by mid July. From there it will be edited, mastered and finally off to production. We are again so thankful for your support with this recording and look forward to getting a copy into your hands as soon as possible.
We hope you have a wonderful summer!
all the best,
Margaret, Don & Ron

Update #11: 10 DAYS LEFT TO REACH OUR GOAL!! Special new Video!!
Dear Friends -
Last Tuesday we had a CD Release Party and Fund Raiser for Volume 4 at the Bennett Studios in Englewood, NJ. It was well attended by our friends and patrons, among them several of our composers! We performed a little concert in the main studio where we have recorded all our albums so far. Here is a video of the 1st movement of Amanda Harberg's "Birding in the Palisades". Her music is wonderfully effective - sweeping in scope and a delight to hear! Please enjoy this Kickstarter-exclusive video and please tell all your friends about our project. We have just 10 days to reach our goal!
Thank you for supporting our "Mission to Commission"!!

Update #6: Video of the Week
Greetings Folks!
Well - we've hit $1000 on our way toward funding this project!
We have been focussing in on our performances these past couple of weeks and we are planning some new marketing strategies to get this site out to some new and interested patrons next week. Again, anything you can do to help spread the word is greatly appreciated! Thanks for hanging in there with us.
Here is our "Video of the Week" - The hauntingly lovely clarinet movement from Joseph Turrin's "Statements". Enjoy!
Please feel free to leave a comment or two if you feel so moved!
Have a great week!
Margaret, Don & Ron
Update #5: "Video of the Week" Joseph Turrin - "Statements" - mvt. 2
Hi Folks -
We're still cooking away here - hoping to make this a breakthrough week for pledges. We have been busy preparing for our upcoming concerts - this Sunday at Suffern Library in NY and next Sunday our season finale concert in Ridgewood, NJ on the 13th. If you live in the area we'd love to see you at one of our performances! This program is "Around the World in 80 Minutes" and features works from Italy, Israel, Latvia, Russia, Japan and Hawaii, in addition to our signature world premiere of yet another newly commissioned work, this one a delightful and charming piece by Stephen Perillo. (Info/directions at our website www.palisadesvirtuosi.org)
Our "Video of the Week" is from the February 2010 performance of Joseph Turrin's "Statements". We commissioned this work last May and have really enjoyed performing it. This video is of the second movement - "Etude", a capricious and difficult piano solo. (see earlier video updates for the 1st movement). Joe wrote this piece so that each of us would have a featured movement. We will post the movements periodically throughout our funding period.
We are trying some new outreach techniques to boost our pledges and hope to see a significant increase shortly.
Thank you in advance for any forwarding of this link to interested friends. We'd love to hear from you if you have other ideas for getting the word out!
Thank you for your support!!
Margaret, Don & Ron
Update #4: Backer Exclusive
Update #3: Thumbnail Moon - Melinda Wagner
Hi Folks -
Our "Video of the Week" is the World Premiere of "Thumbnail Moon" by Pulitzer-Prize winning composer, Melinda Wagner. This dreamy lullaby positively charmed the audience at our concert last year - they just loved it!
Please forward this link on to your friends, colleagues and anyone else whom you think might be interested in supporting our "Mission to Commission"!
Watch for backer-exclusive video soon!
Thank you for supporting us!!
Margaret, Don & Ron
Update #2: Gwyneth Walker - "Full Circle"
Hi Folks -
We're entering our 3rd week of on-line pledging and have 12 backers and $625 toward our goal of $6850.
Here is our "Video of the Week" created from photos that I (Margaret) took in Vermont's Green Mountains and along the shores of Lake Champlain. The pictures are set to the 2nd movement of Gwyneth Walker's "Full Circle" entitled "The Grace of the World". (As Ms. Walker is from Vermont these are most appropriate!)
Please help us make this next recording a reality, make a pledge if you can and forward the link on to anyone else you think might be interested in helping our "Mission to Commission".
thanks so much!
Margaret, Don & Ron
