T-shirts, grant proposals and Denver Pride
Hey hearty supporters!
The T-shirt order went in today, so if you're expecting one (that is, if you ordered one and submitted your shirt size), they will be in the mail by the last week in June. Thanks for your patience on this. Waiting for things to happen as time goes by and sure make the time fly. If you did pledge for one but changed your mind and want one too, we've ordered extra to sell for a $25 donation. They are stylish and will be well worth it.
We've submitted 4 grant proposals and have only been denied 2 so far. The other 2 are thinking, which can be a great sign. One of the denials stated that they wanted to fund our project because it was so needed and solid. However, one piece of criteria for eligibility was to already be serving clients. And in the vein of grant proposals, funders LOVE seeing that over 80 people supported Home O' Hope through individual donations (ie this Kickstarter campaign). So thank you from the bottoms of our hearts to the bottom parts of yours. This is only the beginning...
Denver Pride is next weekend (6/19-6/20). We will be sharing a booth with a generous organization who came through when we found out the booths were too expensive for our budget and sold out before we could buy one! However, we'll be there spreading the word, selling T-shirts and hopefully signing up a lofty goal of 100 more supporters.
So thanks for getting Home O' Hope out of the starting gate of this fundraising game. You are appreciated and we'll keep you updated.
Sincerely respectful regards,
Rafferty and Amy
