Update #6: Free Show TONIGHT!
I apologize profusely for those who are just hearing about this! It seems that my last post did not get sent out correctly. Here is the news:
TONIGHT! (11/3) There is a FREE SHOW at the Cat's Cradle in Carrboro, NC Featuring 7 of the compilation bands for 4 hours of non stop music. Why non stop you ask? Well, there will be two stages within the venue with bands trading off between sets for absolutely NO SET BREAKS.
We hope you can make it! Here you can also pick up a copy of your CD. Make sure to let the person behind the counter know that you are a backer so that they can cross your name off the list.
Here is the line up:
7:30pm - stage - Lizzy Ross Band
8pm - floor - Puritan Rodeo
8:30pm - stage - Pecosa
9pm - floor - Wylie Hunter & The Cazadores
9:30pm - stage - Luego
10pm - floor - New Town Drunks
10:30pm - stage - North Elementary

Update #4: It's done! We're so excited!
Hello Musical Chairs Backers,
Its done! It exists! Musical Chairs was officially mastered last night by senior engineer Dave Kampel of Nightsound Studios and it sounds like pure magic. As promised, we will be sending all of you a link to download the compilation and hear it FIRST because YOU are the ones that made this possible!
So check your email in the next couple of days. This is just the teaser ;)
If you are local and will be enjoying your Sunday at Carrboro Music Festival, come by the Music Loft or Open Eye stage to pick up a physical download card for the compilation and say hello to the Nightsound staff so that we can give you a high five for being so supportive of our project.
There will be plenty of compilation bands around town at Carrboro Music Fest. Be sure to check out Birds & Arrows, Luego, SWASO, Wylie Hunter & The Cazadores, Lizzy Ross Band, New Town Drunks and Puritan Rodeo. Also, owner of Nightsound Chris Wimberley's band Stranger Spirits will be throwing down some mad scientist and robot girl rock, so come out and have a good time!

We are so excited that this is happening and it is all thanks to everyone of you who pitched in! We've already begun recording some of the bands on the compilation including Birds and Arrows, Erie Choir and New Town Drunks. 3 down 12 to go!
We'll be in the studio again tonight with The Pneurotics as they rock out a cover of New Town Drunk's 'Double Sunglasses Sunday'.
