About this project

I've been dreaming of being a part of NY Fashion week since I began my line 4 years ago and finally, I got my invitation! I've been designing furiously to get my show together and it's meant many sleepless nights.

The Inspiration for my Collection is...

Humanity in its evolving state.
Working within the erratic and harsh climates of constant transformation, the nomadic motion of an urban lifestyle, while (re)learning to work with the environment rather then against it.
Styled yet practical - protected against the elements, tailored yet rugged - dark as if cocooning the form as it re-establishes its place amongst the noble elements of the earth through respectful action.
Learning to give back - a warrior... humble.
Garments have a feeling of age, finding their character through the passing of time, meant to last a lifetime (or more), there is no trend, pieces are transient, intermingling from one moment to the next, one year to the next.
Timeless.

Unfortunately an invitation doesn't mean free and I need some help to get me on the runway and to get all the big-wigs to see my work!

MissAmarie is a long time supporter of the arts. As a artist herself, she understands creativity and imagination and the importance for cultivating freedom within the arts.

In 2006, she created MovementCulture not only as a platform for herself but also for the huge network of artists and artist lover that she would meet throughout her experiences and travels. An initiative established to support, promote and connect artists and art enthusiasts, MovementCulture has grown over the years to provide an umbrella to a number of other projects and initiatives. Throughout the years MissAmarie has met everyone from Chuck D to Zap Mama and plans on continuing to intermingle her network to remain fresh and innovative and to provide room for continued creative expression.
