Update #2: How the Lino Block Prints Are Made

Posted on January 13, 2010

This handy video demonstrates the basic process by which each each monster is born:

1. Think up a monster.
2. Draw the monster backwards on a linoleum block.
3. Carve the block.
4. Ink the block.
5. Print on nice paper.
6. Ponder the monster, think of a story.
7. Type the story on the paper next to the monster.

Become a monster. Let me transform you… or your kid, partner, friend, pet, favorite childhood toy (your friend’s pet goldfish?). You send me photos, I interview you to learn your story, and create a block print monster accompanied by a short biography for the book. This is about discovering your inner monster, sharing your story, and immortalizing yourself in an original piece of art. You receive the monster combo as well: signed hardcover monster book & your limited edition monster print, framed. Shuba-oooh!
