About this project
I have exciting news of a new opportunity for my photography that has recently been set into motion. The author Bret Easton Ellis has granted me permission to use text from his book GLAMORAMA in the creation of a limited edition artist's book combining his words with my sardonic photographs of supermodels taken in the 1990's.

This new artist's book titled Supermodels at the End of Time pokes fun at the superficial world of fashion through the combination of Ellis' postmodern cacophony of name dropping and my film noir-ish imagery of self absorbed fin de siècle models.

The inception for this project dates from 2003 when I produced an early mock-up of the pages. Eight years later, with Bret Easton Ellis on board, I am finally able to produce this edition. More than a book, this is an art object printed on fine art paper with archival pigment ink. Limited to 30 copies, the unbound pages are housed in a custom designed clamshell box produced by artisans under my supervision. The two previous editions I have created, starting in 2000, also involved text based collaboration. Editions of those artist's books have been acquired by the special collection libraries of New York's MoMA and Whitney museums.

To offset the high production cost of this edition I am asking for your help. In exchange for donations I am offering various incentives as thanks. This includes an image of Janice Dickinson & Christy Turlington specially available at $250 incentive price. Similar 8"x11" prints have previously sold for $400. The exhibition prints offered will also make the perfect holiday gift for that special art lover or fashionista on your shopping list!

To choose an image for one of the incentive categories, check out this link INCENTIVE PLEDGE IMAGES After you put through your pledge on Kickstarter, email me to specify which supermodel you would like to hang on your wall.
Although my project pledge goal on Kickstarter is $3,000, the actual expenses that I will be incurring to produce the entire edition will be closer to $15,000. Please feel free to continue pledging even after the Kickstarter goal is met!
