K...O!
Hey there, backers!
Just wanted to let you all know that as of this morning, all backer packages are on their way! I have a couple non-responders to track down yet, but this is a big milestone, for sure, and it took almost a week of multiple daily trips to get it done.
As a token of thanks and a way to mark this auspicious occassion, I've put an exclusive board game-themed screen saver up on the website for you to grab.
http://www.boardgamemovie.com/coolkids.html
This was created by Kerry Hutton, the animator for the film, when we were tinkering with screen saver creation programs. It's a public link, so if you like it, feel free to share with worthy friends.
Now that the Kickstarter packages are shipped, I encourage you to tell all your friends that the film is available for purchase at http://www.goingcardboard.com should they want it. Reviews and feedback have already been pouring in, but here are a couple examples:
A Kickstarter Christmas: Going Cardboard — a documentary about board games
I also added 3 new screening events to the screenings schedule (two in Nashville, one in St. Louis):

Have a good day!

Hey Matt,
You know, Matt, this is what sort of surprises me. I expected some really cool drag-and-drop screensaver creator to exist (in THIS day and age?!?) that you could just make compatible with PC and Mac. But even just on the PC side... I had a really talented technical artist I know take a stab at this, and he was NOT thrilled with the existing options.
Can some coding engineers out there create some software to really rock screen savers? You could do it on Kickstarter. Holler if you do, I'll BACK THAT THING! :) I can tell you right now, the need is there.

Got my copy on Thursday. Haven't had the chance to watch the doc yet, but did play the game Shoot Out and found it to be quite good. You really get the feel of a show down during the final duel when you're both down to just a few bullets!!

My wife and I really enjoyed the documentary! Introduced me to a ton of games... Where to start??? I think we've settled on trying these: Dominion, Settlers of Catan, Dungeon Twister, and Island Fortress (did it come out???).
Happy to see a little Magic: The Gathering love in the film. Surprised at all the Monopoly hate. When played like the rules state it is very enjoyable. Then again, if I compare it to Carcassonne it isn't that good. :)
Thank you so much for all of your hard work - it paid off. Very enjoyable. Look forward to spreading the word about this one.

Hey Lorien
So, is that Screen Saver for the cool kids on Windows only? (Any chance there's a still version for us Mac folks?)
