I'm still excited about this project and totally understand the DVD delay. I received my copy of the book, but it wasn't signed by the author. I already have an unsigned book.

how is the movie project progressing?

love the book. love the writer. would love to make a pledge....not sure if it is too late. let me know who to send the funds to asap! cannot wait to see this on film....remember first meeting tayari at the bookstore on UI campus...my book club was preparing for our monthly meeting and we wanted to invite the author of this masterfully written work to join us...she was not able to squeeze us on her calendar but she managed to become a dear, dear friend. love u tayari..bursting at the seams with excitement...anticipating and praying....

Important enough of a project to get up out of bed from a sound sleep to make a pledge. The original book is written masterfully by the right person to tell the story. Needs to be seen and felt.

This story deserves to be told and I am proud to back this project. There is an audience longing for a film like this; a human, character driven story with depth that puts the spotlight on a very tragic and important part of history.

'Leaving Atlanta' is one of my favorite books and to see a film representation of it would be awesome!!
