About this project

Hola! My name is Rosita.. MAMA*LUZ.. and I am the creator of the LUZ Learning project!

LUZ Learning is community project I started earlier this year with students in my 8th grade Spanish classes. A few years ago, I began writing raps and songs for my students to practice Spanish vocabulary and grammar topics in my classroom. As a musician, writer and educator, I am committed to bringing the worlds of self-expression and education together in a way that has never been done before. With the help of my students, co-teachers and supporters, we can really make this happen!

Using Kickstarter.com, the LUZ Learning Project is going to raise at least $5,000 by January 11, 2009 to make our first record! After and during it's production, the LUZ Learning Project and other Spanish Teachers will be collaborating to develop an online community to support people in learning Spanish in creative ways like this one! Eventually there will be online contests for classrooms and student groups making their own music projects and creations, as well as many of these same resources available for learning languages other than Spanish!

As you can see, there are all kinds of rewards listed to your right... For each donation you make, you will get lots of cool stuff in return! Everyone who donates will get access to our special exclusive updates and the more you donate.. the more you get!
