Me and my camera are going on a road trip around the country to meet 50 random facebook friends.
UPDATE - I made my initial goal of $50,000 and now am HOPING to reach my ultimate goal which is $100,000. This would allow us to be able to stream on our website 24-7!

How can I have 5,000 friends on facebook and feel alone? Are there other people in the world that feel this way? Do we spend more time with technology than we do each other? Why when I'm out at dinner people are face 2 face but on their phones tweeting, texting, facebooking? I have MANY questions so this summer I'm traveling the country and going to meet 50 of these facebook friends FACE 2 FACE. It will be a feature length documentary that I will submit to Sundance in October.
Me, Myself and I, an RV rigged with cameras and one photographer will be traveling across 39 states and spending one day with each person.
How did I pick these random people?
Good question!
The night when I had the idea for face to face...that very second I grabbed my flip cam and typed a status update on facebook page.
STATUS UPDATE 4/5/11: THE FIRST 50 PEOPLE THAT SAY YES I AM COMING TO YOUR CITY WITH A CAMERA AND SPENDING THE DAY WITH YOU.
Within 15 minutes I had my 50 random people. I only know TWO. And I haven't seen them since high school!
I'm so excited about this idea because I feel it will help inspire people to get connected again with each other. But, do do this project I really need your help.
$50,000 is the BARE minimum I can do this for and I'm trying to raise $100,000.
I chose $50,000 because kickstarter is ALL OR NOTHING. As you can tell by gas prices that is a lot of my budget as well as lodging for 90 days and food. I also need to pay for cameras, web design, my camera operator, loggers, editor and the list goes on.
I sincerely HOPE you will be a part of this project and get involved. Together we can always make a difference.
