This summer follow filmmaker Kat Brooks (The Osbournes, The Real World) across the country as she visits 50 random facebook friends.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my kickstarter page. My sincere thanks to everyone who has been a part of this incredible journey. For those of you who are just finding yourself on my page, my name is Kat Brooks and I am a filmmaker from New Orleans, LA.
Four months ago, I was feeling isolated and alone and was spending most of my time on facebook. I didn't understand how I could have 5,000 friends on facebook yet had not had a hug in a month. I wondered if other people felt disconnected as I did and came up with the idea for FACE 2 FACE.
I grabbed my flip cam and started the film by shooting my status update:
THE FIRST 50 PEOPLE WHO SAY YES, I AM COMING TO SPEND THE DAY WITH YOU AND MAKE IT INTO A MOVIE.
In 15 minutes, I had my 50 people.
I started my first kickstarter that night and was able to raise the money to get me through the three months of production. I have driven over 11,000 miles and have 5 people left of my 50. My last person is on September 2.
With over 700 hours of amazing footage, I need help with FINISING FUNDS for Face 2 Face. The money used will be going towards three loggers, 2 editors, a publicist, accountant, graphic designer, food etc.

Our last shoot day is September 5th, 2011. It will take us 12 weeks to finish the final edit, which includes sound design, color correction and music.

If all goes well with Face 2 Face, after I finish the movie I am already scheduled to direct after this, I will do a Face 2 Face International in Europe.

After doing much research when I first started my first kickstarter three months ago, I observed that most movies were funded on average between $25,000 and $50,000. Knowing I had to make my min goal, I set it SUPER low so I could at least get started and raise money from the road. We have raised enough to get us through the shooting and now need help with post production.
