About this project
Turn the spotlight on struggling, undiscovered fashion designers in our Fashion Show! We want to throw a Try-Me-On cocktail party and Fashion Show featuring independent designers, their stories of inspiration, and talented designs on the runway. Got style? Come strut down our runway!
We'll start the night off with a Try-Me-On party cocktail party where people can meet several independent designers, try on new fashion, and purchase new additions to their wardrobe. One designer is Jacqueline. She brings a feisty "clash" between elegance and the fashion of the streets in her urbanwear clothing line, JRichell. The Rich Girl collection reflects the struggle as well as the sincerity of being a woman. We're inspired by Jacqueline's message: Being Rich comes from the quality you have within.
Then, the Fashion Show itself highlights unique designs of several local designers. For those interested in strutting down our runway, we'll hold a competition to see who is the most stylish of the night!
ALL proceeds from this event will go to charity, The Leukemia and Lymphoma society. Inspired by the strength of the designers, we'd like to empower the strength of those in need.
Funding from Kickstarter will be be used to organize & execute the Fashion Show February 2010 for:
1. Rent the venue for the show
2. Recruit local fashion designers
3. Recruit models & photographers (volunteers found for photographers!)
4. Promote the show & featured designers
5. Service charges (DJ, Lighting system, rental material)

JustPinchMe is a startup founded by Amy, Priya and Kent. In their journey to help aspiring fashion designers to achieve their dreams, the co-founders will stop at nothing to complete this mission. After JustPinchMe started in early April this year, the envisioned product has evolved to a fresh approach to e-commerce- where shoppers can try on clothes before they buy.
With the e-commerce platform in place, it's time to invite aspiring designers to join the bandwagon. JustPinchMe's efforts on Kickstarter aim to do just that!
