Update #3: We made it! 105%!
We made it! Thank you all so much for being a part of this record.
But wait! It's not over yet. We still have 40 days left and while we now have our basic recording expenses covered, every extra dollar will help make this album better.
So continue to spread the word!
And again, we can't say thank you enough for believing in us and this project enough to put your money and your time behind it.
To the new album!

Update #2: The First Kickstarter Video Update
Update #1: One song completed!
We've written the first of ten songs to be recorded this spring for the album. The kazoo is the featured instrument and we've been playing it at our Loring Kitchen shows with much success! The tune was inspired by the Zee Avi song "Bitter Heart", a happy, bouncing melody about a cheating boyfriend. Our songs shares that juxtaposition and is in the vein of "Heart of Everyone". We'll post a video demo just for all our backers soon.
We've also started song number 2, which will likely include pots and pans. We've been listening to a lot of The Low Anthem, who was awarded MAGNET's album of the year for "Oh My God, Charlie Darwin". They merge beautiful harmonies with slow, sweeping organ, like if Radiohead played folk music. Our next song might have a hint of those elements.
So the work has begun, but we need your help to finish the project. Thanks to everyone who has been a part of this so far. Spread the word!
The picture is of Joseph's jeep during an Iowa snowstorm over Christmas. Holy cow.
