Exhibit A, a gallery started by Ann Welles, in Corning NY, is embarking on its second year of presenting exhibitions.
I'm Ann Welles. I opened Exhibit A earlier this year and so far it's gone surprisingly well. I 'm looking toward 2010 wanting to do even more. Putting on memorable exhibitions and sharing the work of talented artists is what it's all about and I'm seeking support for the Exhibit A's exhibitions in 2010.
Play the video to see a few of the artists showing here in 2010. What Your Pledge is Making Possible: So far, I have a group show scheduled for January and five solo shows throughout the year. I'll also be presenting media and performance art and am exploring the possibility of doing an outdoor exhibition. Exhibit A will be helping out WSKG when the Art in Motion exhibition is here in May.
Exhibit A 1,100 square feet of space includes three galleries, a small media room and a room for flat files and cases. I have the luxury of being able present multiple things at once. In other words lots of art will be happening here in 2010!
What Your Pledge Will Pay For: So what does it take to present all that outstanding art? Well, it takes a lot of time and it takes a lot of work and I love every minute of it. But it also takes a lot of postcards, a bunch of custom cut vinyl lettering, gallons of paint, expensive light bulbs, overpriced printer ink, a myriad of internet services, all sorts of hanging hardware, and plenty of food and drink so everyone can come and celebrate the artists. It adds up. This is where you can help me out by becoming an Exhibit A backer.

Since then I've heard from people who are still considering pledging or are asking if they should still forward and share this project with others. So I thought it only fair to describe what additional funds will be put towards: Track Lighting for the additional space I've added to the gallery; Pedestals and or Display Cases; or Improvements and Equipment for "Corning's Smallest Theater", Exhibit A's two seat media room.
Obviously there will not be enough to do all of those things. When the total amount is known on Wed. December 2, then I can sit down and decide what items are doable.

I can take a look at your collection or you can show me images you find inspiring. We'll consider the spaces we're you spend your time and then I'll recommend two artists you might like. And if you do, I'll bring samples of their work to you to consider on location! (within 150 mile radius of Corning, NY) ...and I'll throw in as many stickers as you can stand.

ART ADVENTURE: We'll get together and talk about art; what you like, what you're curious about and I'll organize a customized art adventure.
