Dear Supporters and Friends,
We now have 7 days left until the Desiree Alliance Kickstarter is over. We have $1076 of our $2500 target pledged. If we do not get the full the amount pledged we get nothing.

Supporters will get access to exclusive photos and videos of the public event If It Happens in Vegas... It's Still Illegal that will be held during the Desiree Alliance Conference in July 2010. We promise supporters will see sexy shoes, tight corsets, tight buns, tight saran wrap and that their minds will be opened. More generous supporters can also receive premiums such as DVDs, CDs, panties, the chance to talk to sex worker artists on the phone or to take one of the team out to lunch or dinner. The kickstarter can also help fellow sex worker advocates and sex workers who can't make it to the conference this time feel connected by our special blog for supporters.

Update #10: Public Meeting?
MIstress Keva I Lee sent this tongue in cheek photo update to folks who are supporting (or thinking of supporting) the "If It Happens in Vegas" Kickstarter project. She writes, "dear friends, this is one lucky supporter's public meeting with Mistress Keva I Lee!" Well, since we don't have anyone donating at the $500 level yet we'll file this one under "fantasy" and add the phrase "in your imagination" to the end of her update. Food for thought though.

Last night at at the NYC Sex Worker Cabaret, Mariko performed with Annabelle Xaah and raised awareness about our kickstarter fundraiser in sexy and literate ways. You will get to see their full performance that will occur in Vegas in July 2010 documented on our blog, photo and video stream if you become a supporter.

Sarah Jenny put together this amazing sex worker cabaret and all of the performers got to share a pool of earning which equalled about $90 per artist. For artists to be paid to do what they love, for sex worker artists to be paid to sing about sex work/rights/activism is often better than getting paid big bucks to do sex work itself! At least for me it is! Many many of us fund our dreams with our sex work but it is really rewarding to be paid and honored for BOTH.
