BRING BACK THE GOLDEN AGE OF COMEDY
Hey folks,
Our goal for Under the Western Sun is very simple. We would like to create an entertaining family comedy that tells the story of a father and a son reuniting after being estranged for years, using smart humor and memorable characters that people can relate to.
The script captures just that. With our talented cast, experienced crew and an incredible historic location in Smithville, TX, Under the Western Sun promises to be a feel good film, which everyone can enjoy. Supporting family values and small town America, Under the Western Sun will no doubt win the hearts of it's viewers.
We have been very fortunate to film in Smithville, TX a wonderful small town, where big feature films like Hope Floats and Tree of Life have shot.
Your pledge is very important to us, as this will help us cover local equipment rentals and local crew positions, which once again, keep locals working and paid. So, not only are you funding a feature film, but giving local businesses work.
We would love to raise $10,000 for the production of the film, but $5000 will help us with the rest of production costs..
Production starts April-May 2010
If you help surpass our goals, this will help with the marketing budget to get the movie distributed in theaters across the nation and to our ultimate goal of the film, teaming up with the Boys and Girls Clubs of America.
