The trend of mobile food has expanded from food trucks to the pop-up concept—a great option that allows a chef to showcase his/her talents without the financial burden and risk associated with opening a restaurant. Already very popular on the West Coast, the pop-up is just making its way to the Big Apple with early success.
My name is Ayinde and WildFlower is a passion project that I plan to execute as a pop-up restaurant in late spring of 2011. Supporting this project is a nod to green entrepreneurs, like myself, who are serious about good, nourishing plant based food. Vegan food doesn’t have to taste like cardboard or put a big dent in your budget. It actually can be super good and affordable.
Your Money backing for this project will be applied toward:

More about my vision. I want to bring the entire vegan experience to one restaurant located in the heart of one of my favorite cities in the world-- New York City! I will be showcasing my 12+ years experience in the kitchen and as a life long vegan. The menu will encompass all of the best aspects of the plant based eating experience. We will explore Classic American fare, Bistro Style, Raw-Fusion (where I take the best elements of raw and combine them with a clean cooked counterpart) Gluten Free and the chef's favorite, brunch! Waffles French toast, pancakes and more.
We will be open for dinner for three nights- Thursday, Friday and Saturday as well as brunch on Saturday and Sunday.
I launched I Eat Grass with a vision. A place for anyone and everyone to logon and discover all of the wonderful aspects of plant based living. It was a risky pursuit, but a little over a year later we are well on our way. The New York Times, Time Out New York, BET and others have taken noticed allowed my take on veganism to grace their pages. All of the pop-up action will be filmed for docusodes (a new genre for the web) for posting on my site www.ieatgrass.com as well as other social media channels.
