Update #4: Sundance Update!

Posted on February 7, 2010

Hey guys!

Just wanted to let you know that....

Videos, photos, and text from my Sundance experience can be found here:
http://thebobbymiller.com/post/360165966/tubpress

Thank you for making it happen and helping me finish the film, I couldn't have done it without you!

To update you on all your goodies:

I have not had a free moment to get to it, but I'm hoping to start shipping this stuff out this week. For those who pledged more (for those original paintings) it's going to be a little longer because I gotta paint those things!

If you haven't already, please send your mailing address and info to:
TubBackers@gmail.com

Thanks!

Update #3: Our TUB drive is over! You guys raised $3,190!!!

Posted on January 13, 2010

Y'know...I really thought we'd need every hour in the day to raise our goal of $2,500 and you guys got us there in a week. You also helped raise over that amount, which is...well, amazing.

Thank you so much for your support. You have no idea how much this means to me. Your money is going directly to the post production of TUB. And has helped pay for sound design/mix, color correction, and final output to HDCAM. As well as all the press materials that had to be made, etc. for the film.

After Sundance, we hope to screen "TUB" at film festivals all over the world. So, it is my hope that you will all finally get to see the film. The way it should be seen...in the dark...on the big screen.

If you donated $25 or more, I need your mailing address so I can get the TUB goodies to you.
Please email: TubBackers@gmail.com with all your info INCLUDING what your username on kickstarter is. Do not email any of my other email addresses, as I'm trying to make sure I stay on top of this stuff with a seperate account.

Also, if you bidded over $100, that means you're getting an original painting from me. If that is the case, please include with your email, a sentence or a word that you want me to paint a picture about. I'm essentially stealing the concept www.explodingdog.com made up. It will also make creating all these paintings a little easier, as I'll have a direction to go toward.

The posters still haven't arrived and chances are I might not be able to get them out to you before I leave for Sundance on the 21st, but rest assured you will be getting all the goodies promised. Also, take comfort that this is the last time I will use the word "goodies".

Okay, well, thanks again for your support and thanks for reading this long email. This whole thing has been surreal and the outpouring of support is well...

What can you really say? It's so neat.

Okay, neat was the wrong word.

Sincerely,
Bobby Miller

Update #2: WE DID IT! $2,500 and 7 days to go still!

Posted on January 6, 2010

45 minutes ago a person named JF Vallet took us over the top and got us to our goal of $2,500!!

Thank you, whoever you are!

And THANK YOU EVERYONE for donating. I can't believe we raised $2,500 in a week. You guys are awesome. The fundraising will still continue, as we have 7 more days. All $$$ will go to the $7,000 bill we're racking up on the post production of TUB and getting to Sundance. If somehow we raise a gazillion dollars, that money would then go to film festival fees, etc. As we're hoping to make 2010: The year TUB travels the film festival world!

Anyways, thanks Guys. Seriously, it means a lot.

In 7 days, once the fundraiser closes, I'll be contacting you guys about getting these posters and goodies your way.

Thanks again,
Bobby

Well there you go Bobby, $3190. Now remember, if you don't win first place, you're letting down 72 financial backers, Next New Networks, and anyone who's ever jerked off in a bathtub. No pressure.

Update #1: $785 in a matter of hours!

Posted on December 30, 2009
