About Hunters
Hunters is a slasher film born out of my love for the horror genre. I love horror films so much that it's nearly impossible to express in words. There are a lot of people out there that share this same feeling, and Hunters is for those people. This is a film inspired by new horror just as much as the classics from the golden age of 80's slasher flicks - think "Inside" meet "Hatchet," built on a foundation of "Sleepaway Camp" and "The Burning." If you're familiar with these films, I hope that is enough to get you excited. For everyone else, just know that there will be an enormous body count with lots and lots of blood. There will be no reaction shots followed by a cut to a wall with blood spraying on it. None of that. You're going to see everything. We're going into this not expecting to get a "R" rating.
The absolute number one priority with Hunters is to give the fans something to be excited about. Horror is not dead. There are still great horror films being made and we are dedicated through and through to make sure Hunters will be another film to help progress the genre.

What The Money Is For
We are looking to raise the $30,000 to begin the pre-production process on Hunters. In pre-prduction, we'll need to hire our casting director so we can attach actors to our project (see more about our casting director below). Attaching actors alone will greatly increase our chance to get fully financed.
We will also use this money to hire a line producer to work on the overall budget, to scout locations, to begin prepping our special makeup effects, and to continue with the previsualization process of storyboarding the intricate death scenes we're so excited to show you. With the amount of "kills" we have in this film, prepping will be extensive so we we want to get a head start on them to ensure they play out as gory as possible.

Why Give US Money?
Judson, Daniel and I are great friends and share a lot of common ideals in the approach to film making. Please know, the most important goal for all three of us is MAKING A GOOD FILM. This sounds elementary, we know, but we want you to know we aren't just going out to a location with a camera and an idea.
Between the three of us we have over 10 years experience on productions of major motion pictures and television shows, both in production offices and on set in various capacities. The three of us are based in Los Angeles and to this day hold down full time jobs at three of the biggest studios in town. This is not to say that we are smarter than anyone, but it is to say that we know what it takes, and the level of preparation and execution that is necessary to make a feature film.
With this knowledge we are lucky enough to have, and the talented people we have at our disposal, we are confident that we can see this production through from beginning to end, not only professionally, but with an artistic vision that will demand an audience's attention, and take them for one hell of a ride.

Scott Uhlfelder
Scott is an award winning cinematographer, whose work has played in festivals such as Slamdance, SXSW, AFI Fest, and the L.A. Film Fest. His most recent feature, Douchebag, was an official selection of the 2010 Sundance Film Festival. Scott's naturalist style and old school ideals will give Hunters a look not yet seen in the slasher genre.
Special Make Up Effects
Jenn Rose
Jenn's experience with bringing memorable death scenes to life comes in the form of the slasher series that's breathed new life into the genre, Hatchet. Jenn worked on both Hatchet and Hatchet 2, and did everything from prep prosthetic heads with the brain showing to answering the "we need more blood" call on set, and everything in between. She's truly a visionary in her craft, and we couldn't be luckier to have her on board, giving her an opportunity to head up a special make up effects department on her own. Jenn's other credits include work on Star Trek, Tron, Men in Black 3, and True Grit.
Casting
Erica Silverman
Erica Silverman has been in casting for the past seven years, during which time she has had the opportunity to work on a myriad of projects. Some of these titles include TV series such as Criminal Minds, Threshold as well as TV pilots Fringe, Blade: The Series, Washington Field, The Way and most recently, the Criminal Minds and Army Wives spinoffs. She has also served as casting director on feature films including The Attic Door, Acts of Mercy, Normal Again and The Chicago 8 and 2 28. Erica was awarded the Seymour Heller Award for Associate Casting Director of the Year, 2009

Erica Harrell is an independent feature and short film producer, born and raised in Florida. After the success of her first short film, “Cat’s Bad Hair Day” Harrell began development on two features. “The Attic Door” and “Acts of Mercy” were completed in early 2009.
“The Attic Door” won Best Feature, Best Cinematography, and Best Score at the 2009 Bend Film Festival. “Acts of Mercy” was an official selection of the 2009 Shanghai Film Festival and the 2010 La Femme Film Festival in Los Angeles. These two films were funded in parts by the Utah State Film Commission, the Kane County Film Commission and by a grant from Women in Film in Florida. In October of 2010, Harrell completed post production on her third feature film, “2 28.”
Harrell is currently developing “Wannabe,” written and directed by Matthew Manson, and is fundraising for her fourth feature film, the slasher/horror film “Hunters.” This film is set to shoot summer 2011 in Ohio.
Judson Scott is an independent filmmaker and horror fanatic. After graduating from the University of Central Florida, Judson moved to Los Angeles where he quickly became immersed in the television and film industry. Some of his credits now include, Iron Man 2, Entourage, Bones, and the soon to be released Thor. Judson is currently working at Marvel Studios where he has been involved with three feature films from conception through post. While working in various positions throughout the industry, Judson continued to follow his true passion, writing. Hunters is one of several feature length scripts Judson has completed and the first he is to direct.
