"The Carpool" is a comedy about four unique people forced to ride with one another each day to work and the problems they meet on the road and in the car.  Did I mention all of this is entirely set in traffic?

"The Carpool" is also an experiment to bring working professionals in the movie and television industry together to work in their field of choice.  99% of people that want to be directors, writers, producers, and editors don't start off in those jobs.  Many people start as production assistants or runners, even though they have the talent already to put together great stories.  This is why "The Carpool" was created in the first place.

In July 2011, We (including 6 writers and 2 Executive Producers) came together to come up with a 6 episode webseries.  At the first meeting we had no idea what story we were going to tell.  By the third meeting, we had the main story arcs, the characters, and the episodes assigned to each writer.

We are currently in the final stages of casting for the series and are going into production on June 10th to shoot the pilot.  In production, we have 5 directors, a director of photography, an AC, an AD, and many production assistants to get the footage we need to edit.  We believe it will take us 7 days of shooting to get the footage we need for the 6 webisodes.  

As the footage comes in, we move to post where we have 4 editors and an assistant editor to work on this project along with a supervising editor.  This is where we will do all the polishing for the finished product.   

Everyone working on this project has agreed to work for nothing or next to nothing to get this project complete.  That means a lot since our crew consists of people that have worked on the following projects:  Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Cop Out, The Mentalist, Gossip Girl, Battlestar Galactica, Dexter, E.R., Shark Tank, My Cat From Hell, 24, Southland, The Hunger Games, among others.  The money raised will go towards food for the cast and crew, casting room rentals, production insurance, film permits, studio rentals, car rentals for picture cars, visual effects, renting production equipment, color correction, sound editing, and mixing. With that list of credentials, we feel that this webseries is going to be one to watch.
