Comic Theatrical production - Part of the KC Fringe Festival
Film Classics
Presents: Suspicion is playwright Kevin King’s sophomore theatrical
production.
This is also the second production of a developing franchise. The previous show, Film Classics Presents: Heaven So Far, received great reviews in The Kansas City Star, Pitch Weekly, and KC Stage.
The Film Classics Presents plays are presented as if the audience is watching a Turner Classic Movies-type program, hosted by an often drunk Carlotta Holmes (played by Kansas City drag icon, De De DeVille).
Suspicion is set in the late 1940s and spoofs classic film noir. Rachel Rochelle, a wealthy socialite and aviatrix finds herself torn between two men: her current beau, employed by the Special Prosecutor’s office; and her former lover, a professional smuggler.
Your Kickstarter pledge will help us offset the costs of 1940s-era costumes and props, sound design, set and set design, Festival entrance fee, marketing and promotional materials, and will support the fantastic actors and crew. We are committed to bringing you the best in Fringe entertainment! Thank you in advance for your generous contribution!
