 Did you see “AS YOU LIKE IT” last year? We might be biased, but we think it was a tremendous success! This year, we’re going bigger and tackling one of Shakespeare’s most beloved comedies: “TWELFTH NIGHT, or WHAT YOU WILL”.

Featuring many returning cast members from last years, and many talented new faces, TWELFTH NIGHT promises to take everything that worked last year and kick it up a notch! Last year we set AS YOU LIKE IT in the Summer of Love, complete with a wrestling ring, period costumes, and an amazing musical soundtrack. This year we’re moving back to the tail-end of the jazz-era, where sultry looks and steamy romances ruled.

 But we can’t do this alone – we want to continue to present FREE Shakespeare in the Park to the Mahoning Valley – because, frankly, you deserve it! And there’s just something special about lounging in the grass with your loved ones at Morley Pavilion on the beautiful grounds of Mill Creek Park as the words of one of the greatest playwrights of all time are brought to life by some of the very best actors in the area!

 We’re asking for $1,200 this year to cover the costs of the set, costumes, and music. That’s it. That’s 60 people donating twenty dollars each! We had an average crowd size of 250 each night and we believe that we’re going to increase that number this year! So please, if you can donate as little as $5 to show your support of the arts in Youngstown, please do! And yes, you read that right – if you donate $1,000, the director will personally give you a small speaking role in the show to amaze your friends and astound your enemies!
