We're a Michigan-based independent press ready to launch our first two books: "Unreliable" and "Easter Ann Peters' Operation Cool."
Scribe Publishing Company is a new independent publisher located in Royal Oak, Michigan. We're very excited to introduce the launch of our first collection of books, due out this fall, which will include a middle grade novel called "Easter Ann Peters' Operation Cool" and a suspense novel called "Unreliable."
"Easter Ann Peters' Operation Cool" was written by Michigan Author Jody Lamb, who has made it her life's mission to serve as an advocate for kids with alcoholic loved ones. On top of being a funny, heartwarming coming-of-age story about a seventh grader, “Easter Ann Peters’ Operation Cool” also takes a serious look at the effects of depression and alcoholism on family life.
The other book we’re publishing this fall is a suspense novel called “Unreliable,” by Molleen Zanger, also a Michigan writer. "Unreliable" explores the consequences of unavoidable actions the main character was forced to take years ago, only to have to confront them again today, when she thought they were long buried. The story is not told in a linear fashion, and it keeps you on the edge of your seat until the end.
Your support will help us:
1. Pay our illustrator for the cover of "Easter Ann Peters' Operation Cool and hire a designer for the "Unreliable" cover.
2. Hire a summer intern to help with marketing and PR for the authors.
3. Hire proofreading support for both books.
4. Pay for additional printing, distribution, and marketing costs.
Any additional money we raise will go towards our spring 2013 collection, which we are currently working on. It will include another suspense novel, as well as 1-2 other books, one of which might be a cookbook--we're waiting on the signed contract for that one!
We're so excited about the launch of these two books this fall and can't wait to share them with the world! We would love to have you be a part of our success!
