Update #5: Wee Made It!!!!
Wow! Thanks so much to all of you! Yesterday at 10am this project was officially funded at 110% of our goal! Which means ...... the record will very soon be coming to all our you! Even more than the over-the-top funding we are thrilled to have so many backers (116!!). Getting to know so many new fans and connecting with people known from years past was absolutely the highlight of this process. Thanks to friends old and new for being part of this project with us.
With the success of this Kickstarter campaign we will now move forward on mixing, mastering and design of the new album. The record is slated to hit the 'street' on Jan.1, 2012 (you indsiders should have it a little before that, but don't tell). We'll be touring a lot in the first months of 2012 to promote the album....so look out, chances are we are coming to a town near you! (check www.theweetrio.com for all tour dates where you can also join mailing list and be sure not to miss a thing!)
We told Dylan the news and he was so excited that he thought we should have a little jam session. He threw down some serious polyrhythms over a few of our Bowie renditions that we that that you'd enjoy! Check it out....
Update #4: The final stretch...
Greetings to all our Honorary Wee Fans,
Wee are on the final stretch. We have 2 days to raise less than $587! We are also 1 donor away from reaching our goal of having 100 backers for the project. We want to thank you all for your generous donations. Without you (our true fans), this project could never have been done.
Throughout the project we will also keep up these udpates to you (our true fans) that cororlate to the project you helped fund. Which will include cd art work, updates on the mixing/mastering, published reviews, tour info, a making of the record video, BBQ tips, and the precious Dylan Loomis moments.
If you have any friends/family/co-workers/personal trainers/butchers/auto mechanics/enemies/lovers/fighters/etc... that might be interested in donating to this project, please forward our kickstarter page to them so we can close the gap to reaching our final goal of 5k.

You guys are amazing! By last night we had raised 20% of our $5,000 fundraising goal. We think we can make it! Please spread the word ..... tell you friends, tell your family. The Wee Trio's got a new record that it wants to get to them!!
In the meantime, Dylan and Jared want to thanks you for helping us hit 20%!

Update #1: What a great start.... thanks to our early bird backers!
Wow!... a day and a half into our three week campaign we are 15% of the way to our goal. We are so grateful to our early backers in this project for helping us out right away. One surprise benefit of this process for us is just how much more connected we feel to you as fans. It's very inspiring getting to correspond with each of as you support the project.
The Wee family's youngest (and most recently verbal) member wanted to give a shout out to the early birds. Check out Dylan's video update below. (and be forgiving with pronunciation.....some names are easier that others or a two year-old ;)

Dan, James and Jared formed an unlikely union; taking a circuitous route from all corners of the country to land in Brooklyn. By chance they ended up living across the street from one another. One day Jared and Dan spotted James rolling his vibes down the street and a new super-trio was born. After successful, well-received tours across the US, and excited by the chemistry and simpatico of the group, they rushed back to Brooklyn and immediately went into the studio, recording their debut CD, Capitol Diner, Vol.1 in one four hour session. The rest is history…

Capitol Diner Vol. 1 won huge international acclaim, being named in the Top Ten CDs of ’08 by The San Francisco Chronicle, Boston’s Patriot Ledger and All About Jazz. The band also became ‘bi-coastal’, with James returning to the New Orleans to pioneer the post-Katrina Musicians’ Village. The group toured extensively, playing across the US .... 2010 saw the release of Capitol Diner, Vol. 2: Animal Style, a record of these travels.
