Hello out there! We're creating our first album and we need your assistance and your love. Don't worry, there will be snacks.
Yes, you! We're going to need your help if you ever wish to let it bless your ears, or anyone's ears for that matter.
We are a fun little troupe of songwriters from Wasilla, Alaska called Gerygone & Twig (not to worry, you can watch our video to hear how to pronounce it). We make things like the video up there, which we recommend you watch. The song you heard is something we composed specifically for the video (don't fret, we use real lyrics in all of our other songs!). Our music is a most commendable brew of jangling silverware, twanging banjos, & rosy voices blooming from soft mandolins and guitars. We'll tell you most winsome love stories in fields of yellow where all the depths of lyric blue and wisdom shall be reached. If you're interested in delicious harmonies that even look good on staff paper, bluegrass instruments, pretty ladies, or some catchy music to listen to while you concoct your breakfast, we recommend you read on. Oh, and listen to this, one of our best original songs that will be on the Slee-py: http://youtu.be/SUcFODuevvE
We are in fond need of you. We're raising $900 to pay for the packaging, duplicating, and beautifying of 1000 copies of the album we are diligently composing at this very moment. HOWEVER, if we do not fully reach or surpass our funding goal of $900, we will receive nothing at all and our dulcet melodies will never float through your headphones. Seriously. Only 1000 people will receive this record, this beautiful child of ours, and we beseech you to be one of them. You're probably going to be, aren't you?
What we're up to upon this current. Our busy hands and brains are thoughtfully provoking the canvas of our album packaging; discovering how we can best present ourselves in a way that is every bit as pleasing to your eyes as we know it will be to your ears. Our in-house artist and design master Rainy will pull forth from the breadth of her innovation a lovely inner and outer cover for your ocular enjoyment. In addition to the art, our recording process is steadily underway. We have much to learn, but it is exceptionally fulfilling to saturate our brains in the nectar of album production knowledge. You'll be receiving a lot of updates along the way during this process, and many cheesin' Facebook photos of our faces (grinning at you as we announce our victories) are to be expected.
When will it be done?! Marching forward at this pace, we will be able to place within your hands a shiny new disc of our own creation by the month of March, in the year 2013, give or take potential mishaps, klutz encounters, and time to pray over and caress each individual album before we send them your way.
Now money is a fickle and sensitive thing, and in our case we very literally cannot do this without your fiscal support. This album is very much for you and this is your opportunity to be directly involved!
I'm just a poor boy, nobody loves me? If you can't afford to help us out monetarily, we really understand, and we'd appreciate even a short comment of encouragement or a like on our Facebook page right here: https://www.facebook.com/gerygoneandtwig
If you have any questions for us, don't hesitate to ask. Enough talk of business and pecuniary matters, go forth and love the world as you take into account every beautiful thing.
Sleep soundly, dears, and Merry Christmas.
P.S. You may have observed the obscene amount of out-dated Christmas references in our rewards. This is because we are slightly manic-christmas-festivus-obsessivus on every day of the year and you should be, too.
Some examples of original show posters you may receive for your gift and a video of our arrangement of Jingle Bells! Art by Rainy Hastings.

We'll be frank with you.
What we're doing is not easy.
By the America's standards, we as 17 and 19 year olds are barely qualified to ride the bus alone.
BUT. You need to know that we are men! And women!
Fully armed with huge biceps, the knowledge of taxes, energy conservation, Microsoft Excel, and the ability to drink black coffee without even a twitch of our brows. Kind of.
The road to fully produced album-hood is in reality a spindly staircase with sharp rocks at the bottom and ice cream cones at the top.
And we've just gotten started.
But our songs are written, our instruments in pristine tune, and our arms are eager to take on the burden of computer malfunctions, constructive criticism, deconstructive criticism, song copyright laws, album cover design templates, thousand dollar price tags, and a myriad of other things.
We can save the world.
With your assistance, encouragement, and grins, that is.
Have a question? If the info above doesn't help, you can ask the project creator directly.
