Hello everyone,

There are 9 days left in this 75 day Kickstarter campaign. Several of the days that have gone past have presented themselves as the most incredible and life changing days of my life. None of them more so than this 4th of July though. At 9:25 AM on that day, our daughter Josephine Alma made her way into this world. I am immensely proud of this beautiful new person, and proud to be sharing the happy news with this community of backers.

I'm sure there are many backers who are receiving this email simply because they're pretty fired up about getting their hands on Capture. I completely respect that and am equally excited about getting it out to you. But I also want to express sincere gratitude to all of those who have relished this kickstarter process as more than just a standard purchasing experience. The sense of community you've given us has been astounding. Thank you.

And now to business. During this next 9 days, I'm going to be sending out Updates and reminders which will cover the following topics:

Instructions for how shipping information will be obtained after July 16.
Updates on manufacturing and supply chain
Updates on future retail sales
An update on Extenders
Reminders to Canadian and International backers to add $10 or $15 for shipping if they haven't already

For those of you who are counting (I don't think it's just me), we are just about 15k shy of 3rd place all time on the Kickstarter list. If we get a huge push, we might even become the 2nd most funded project ever! To make this happen, please help us to plaster Capture on as many facebook walls and twitter feeds as possible. Every little post counts.

In the interest of keeping this short, I'm going to leave you just a few things. The first is a link to a blog written by one of the Eager Beavers, Mike Hagen of Gig Harbor Washington. Many of you have written awesome reports about your uses with Capture, but this one has an incredible story to with it so I'm electing to pass it on. At the time when there were only 100 Capture units released in the entire world (there are only 200 now), Mike ran into one of them in Yellowstone National Park while he was wearing his own. The last two are a couple of pictures I took recently. The first is of the setup I rigged for my D90 in the labor and delivery room. Using Capture, I was able to clamp on to virtually anything in the room and get the perfect angle to Capture the mind blowing event of my daughter being born. The video I got from this setup is absolutely stunning, and I encourage all fathers to be to set up something similar. Yes, the event itself was the most stunning part, but the video was perfect.

The last shot is pretty self explanatory. It shows a proud papa totally taken by the creature in his arms.

Early Birder Reward. This is the second round of Early Units that can be shipped. All backers (US and International) are allowed to pledge. Add $15 for international shipping or $10 for Canadian shipping (only one time if you order multiple units). To order multiple units, order in multiples of $100. Units will be shipped the day shipping information is received, beginning Wednesday 6/22. Shipping information will be collected by via a Google Document "Form". Information will be kept private. You will be sent the form within 24 hours of your pledge. Note that introductory retail price of Capture will likely be $79.99 (as opposed to $70 as stated above).
