A coffee table art book
I have no formal education in paint or art at all - at least not since I was 8 years old. I do have various degrees, but all relate to the other side of my brain, particularly the one in law that I am sure suffices to prove that I am dead to the creative world. I am keen to show otherwise - to demonstrate that even a scientist can access the far side of the brain to good effect.
My paintings can be seen on the web site www.warburg.me. Several have been sold and I have a terrible time parting with them but have now decided to overcome that fear. I made a book on an internet site and found it was well received. Now I want to take it to the next level. I have a publisher who can print the art professionally in a real coffee table style book showing the real nature of the paintings for all to enjoy. It is not cheap and hence the need for the funds to undertake the project.
I have calculated the minimum cost to actually produce a LIMITED quantity of these high quality books in a reasonable time line. I will produce only 1000, or enough for my sponsors (at the relevant Sponsor levels) so that you have the opportunity to own a truly unique book. No other people will be able to own this book. At sponsor levels of $70 and above your name will be added to the acknowledgement section of the book itself. Names will be listed in Sponsor level order and then alphabetically thereafter. The opportunity to have a leather bound copy is also available and again, such books will be produced only in the minimum number necessary to provide a truly individual possession.
Please note that the awards are all separate - you get just what it says for each reward level. Please provide the name you want for acknowledgement - I will get the shipping address for each award (no splitting of multiple book or other awards sorry) from Kickstarter after funding is complete.
I have already written the text and assembled the photographs - over 70 at last count - all taken at a quality that allows Gichlee reproduction. The art and the books will be given to those who support this project at the relevant sponsor level. In addition, for those who feel super generous I am willing to part with the original art itself.
I hope that my art will inspire others to wander into their area of discomfort and experiment without worry of what others think.
