May has been a busy month.
I've accepted a new position at American University in DC to help start a public purpose-persuasive play studio and graduate program. Moving, finding a new home, new job, and spending 3 weeks in our San Francisco Game Studio to make Tell Tale Heart have all slowed my plan to get Big Huggin into hospitals. I brought the bear to CHI in Paris in May too.
However, we did sneak him into Pediatric practice today. Feedback was good. Next stop will likely be DC area hospitals. It will also be available for play in Baltimore for Gamescape @ Artscape 2013. Two of my students, Denver Coulson and James Cox will be showing work at that event too. James Cox makes Critical Gameplay inspired games.
In the meantime, here are some pictures from the pediatric office visit. We were in the sick waiting room partition. Kids headed into the Dr's office played it between ages 6-10 (plus a couple of staff). They had fun :)
