I would like the colour I originally ordered, and specified on the survey in March 2011. ie. Brown/Orange. Why the confusion? Surely if I'd changed my mind in the interim I would have said so. Is this really why my order hasn't shipped? If so, what about the two backer comments below from December 24th? Are you waiting on everyone to confirm and then re-confirm the colour they want?

David first of all your comment on the retail pricing is misleading. You backed us for custom sandals at $45 each (plus Intl. shipping). Custom sandals are not available anywhere.
We are awaiting a reply from a July 2012 email regarding your Louie color choice. We responded to your last email in October, asking for a verification but never heard from you except to complain on the message board. It will be difficult for us to send you a pair if we have no idea what color you want.

So gratifying to see Louie sandals for sale online when I'm yet to receive mine almost two years after paying for them. Even better is that they sell them for less than two thirds of the price I paid. We need to mention that due to a change in the Kickstarter website, we've lost the ability to update the FAQ section since mid October. Josies have all shipped. We are awaiting some updated addresses for the last few Als. We only have a few Angies left to ship out...
We've stayed out of some of the fray among some of the comments for good reason. It is not because we aren't reading these. We are. We are okay with taking the heat for our delays, not enough updates, etc. We know we've pretty much earned it. For one to berate other backers, especially those who do have something nice to say we find a little perplexing. Especially when it is someone who has left comments a record 15 times themselves. That includes a painful post-midnight posting of 5 separate comments (we get time stamps on these posts) one weekend back in August. Your sandals are on the way. They shipped out sometime this week. Breathe, and enjoy that newly built house.

What makes me really laugh is all you guys (who must be related to the guys who took our money) who sign in and say "Wow. I just got my sandals. They're fantastic and well worth the wait! Way to go, guys. Thanks for persevering. It must have been tough on you." You people mustn't get much mail! or get out of your parents' basements enough. It really doesnt take 20 months to make a pair of sandals. really...it doesnt. Get a life. This goes far beyond a pair of sandals. You've all been taken advantage of! Its become a joke. I just received my leather sandals! I think I would have been less surprised if, upon coming back to my desk after lunch, a unicorn with a solid gold horn was waiting for me with a quest to save a princess, instead of my Vere sandals.
So after all this time and even though it's cold and wet out, I popped off my work shows and put my new size 11 leather sandals on. All I can say is: wow. They're crazy comfy! They were totally worth the wait. Great job guys!

Glad you got them and they are a great fit. The photos were of our prototypes which used leather from another source which would explain the differences in the dark browns. We would also mention that the lighting wasn't the best in those early photos and that may skew the coloring as well.

Not a criticism here--my dark browns are like a chocolate and I was expecting something, you know, remotely close to the picture, but these are pretty far away. And my 11s are surprisingly more of a perfect fit than I expected.
This isn't snark, nor getting in your stuff; I'm genuinely curious about the major color shift and whether or not I missed something along the way. Thanks.

After a really tough start, these guys seem to be recovering well. I love the leather sandals but they were a little small for my feet when I tried them on. I am somewhere between 9 and 9 1/2 depending on the shoe (though most my shoes are 9s) and the 9s I ordered were a little small. Dropped them a note and they already have 10s in the mail for me, even before I sent the 9s back!.
Vere guys, keep it up as great customer service will go a long way!

Got my Al sandals yesterday, and am very happy with them. Though it's off-season it'll give me something to look forward to in the coming winter months, and I'll pack them when I travel someplace warmer this winter. I'm glad the good folks at Vere didn't just pack it in, which, after so many setbacks, would not have been an entirely unreasonable thing to do. Well done, and good luck in the future (hopefully your bad luck has run out by now!).
