“Under One Same Sky- The Eyes of the World” is a photography book project.

The project is a heartfelt and poetic approach of photography, a visual creative expression of the similarities of people despite the differences.
“Under One Same Sky” aims to express with some text and photographs of people and nature around the globe the inherent simplicity and unity we all share as human beings.
The book will be square ( 12 X12 Inches) with about 150 pages.

This is a project I have been working on and dreaming of over the past 9 years.
My profession is photographer and graphic designer and I have been travelling on my free time to photograph portraits in some countries of Asia and South-North America and I am now giving my full attention and schedule to this project in 2011-12, in view of completing it for May 2012.
I am preparing new travels in Eastern Asia, Oceania, South America and Africa and my first departure date is to be planned in February 2011.

With the help of Kickstarter, I am asking for your support to help make the dream of “Under One Same Sky”a reality to share with everyone.

During 6 to 8 months in 2011 and early 2012 I will be traveling, meeting and discovering individuals, living, watching, listening, photographing and absorbing the rituals and intricacies of their daily life. By establishing a sincere acceptance, I wish to share the true spontaneity of the people, their essence and openness. The main focus in the photographs will be the eyes of people, portraits, close-ups of hands as well as some landscapes.

I am using a Hasselblad film camera, with Kodak film (black and white and color 120mm roll film) and a canon digital camera.

Kickstarter funds are what I need for the next trip planned in early 2011 to eastern Asia- Oceania. For the airfares (around 2000 USD), film, processing, travel expenses...(around 3700 USD).

Once this next trip will be completed, I plan to do two more travels in order to have all the images needed for the content of the book. I will then be designing and publishing the book (by May 2012).

A blog will be kept updated and I will surely keep you informed of the progression of the project.
