"Sanctuary" is a short narrative film following one mans journey to depths of the deep blue sea for a treasure he must have.
“Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal. Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal. Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be."
Sanctuary is the tale of a young man (Cole) hunting after an item he learns of in a passed down journal from a long deceased family member. We find him traveling through the Florida Keys as he tries to acquire the same joy his ancestor once possessed. As Cole travels the Keys on his quest he crosses paths with several individuals that pass on some wisdom that soon will play true to his life. This is a story of the gains and losses, and the beauty that can be found around us if we take time to step back, or in this case come to the surface, and appreciate it.
Where funds go:
Food! As much as we think we are good fishermen and fisherwomen we will probably need to buy food and crafty at some point. So anything for some PB&J funds would be great.
Transportation! Key West ends at mile marker 0, making it basically the end of the world as the USA is concerned, thus not easy to get to. Hitch hiking isn't covered in our equipment insurance.
Housing! We are camping out down there, but you still have to pay the price to pitch the tent. Please help keep the rain off our heads and more importantly the cameras.
Gear! Due to the filming above and below the surface of the deep blue sea, we will need a variety of camera and audio gear to get the shots you want to see.
SCUBA! Swimming with the fishes is only free if you tick off the right people, for us though this includes dive boat fees, equipment and most importantly air for our tanks.

If you have ever driven through the Florida Keys you would know in a second. The islands are small and very densely populated with colorful wild fauna meanwhile being surrounding by bright blue water and colorful reef life. It is the perfect backdrop.
