The Liminal Project celebrates Poetry Month with a program exploring the connections between poetry and music.
Welcome to the Liminal Project! We're excited to be celebrating Poetry Month this April with our newest program, Articulations: At the Intersection of Poetry and Music. We're taking five works for solo flute and pairing them with five poems, which will be presented on top of, in-between, and alongside live music. We're going to be exploring the connections between the written word and music and think this is a wonderful event that brings the literary and musical communities together.
Ever wonder how funerals are depicted in the ancient world? Want to see an onomatopoeia improv session between a flutist and actress? Know what sports cars and platinum flutes have in common?
We'll be tackling these questions and more in our program - it's sure to be an engaging and fun time for book-lovers and music-lovers alike!
We've been invited to thee Seattle-area bookstores to present our project and we need your help to make it happen! We're looking to raise $600 by March 1 to make sure we can stage this exciting event. We have a great rewards program so be sure to check out our rewards video below!
