----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ben Pearson was an innovator in the archery industry and was the first to accomplish many things in his field.

During the Great Depression Mr. Pearson started his own company in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. It was a business that would later grow to have over 1,000 employees and be recognized as the biggest archery company in the mid-1900s.

Although he was a master bowman and successful businessman, he didn't sell himself as much of a personality as Fred Bear and there isn't much media out there about the man. So, I want to make sure that future generations know about his accomplishments and contributions to the archery world from a small little state like Arkansas.

Hopefully we can shed light back onto Mr. Pearson and make sure there is a record of his impact. And just maybe inspire a few youngsters to pick up the sport of archery and even know it's possible to create a very successful business by following your passion.

I plan to put together a film with interviews from his family, friends and those that grew up using Mr. Pearson's bows. I even may be able to speak to some national archery title winners that used to work for Mr. Pearson's company.

The film will air on PBS stations for the public to view and hopefully later find its way onto national cable TV.

Also, I plan to give the broadcast rights to the Armed Forces Network so our men and women serving our nation overseas will have something from home to watch at their bases.

The money raised here will be the very foundation of this project by providing the ability to obtain an HD video camera that will preserve the life story of Mr. Pearson in 1080p clarity for the new ATSC High Definition standards. If I go over my fund raising goal then the rest of the money will be invested in lighting equipment and tripods.

Together we can record part of American history.
