Our story begins in 2008.  The FX Network held a competition looking for a new comedy sitcom in the vein of “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”.  The Grand Prize winner would receive a $40,000 budget towards making a pilot that the network would review and possibly order into production!  Pretty sweet.  The competition was held through an intermediary company that we are too classy to name.  After shooting an entry short film, writing entire seasons worth of material, a second finalist short film, and utilizing countless hours of our time, we won that Grand Prize!

Nine months later, we are putting the finishing touches on draft 6 of our pilot script, when 'website' tells us we will no longer be getting any money (because they decided to keep it) and there is no need to keep working on our pilot because FX will never go for it, despite never having given it directly to FX.

Cut to now!  What was once a TV show desired by a cable network is now a web series, free of studio confines!  Our goal is to produce 10 short format, highly polished episodes, get it out to networks and producers, and get our once in a lifetime shot back! 

OUR SERIES...    

Flicks revolves around four young friends living together in Brooklyn.  Their full-time days consist of getting into as much trouble as possible through dating, drinking, city living, socially awkward situations, and just trying to pay rent.  But as this starts to wear thin as they get older they turn to an old passion shared during highschool.  Making short films. 

It becomes the glue that keeps them together.  In each episode characters are dealing with issues, and there happens to be a particular project in the background that spills into the foreground.  The projects range from cliché rap music videos and wilderness beer commercials to sweatshop animations, and thug porn.

Despite how involved each project becomes within the central story of the episodes, each episode ends with the project playing to the audience as if they are watching it and each project ultimately ties into the main plot of each episode.

Quad Deuce Productions is made up of four sexy guys from Long Island who grew up together and shared a passion for filmmaking.  Combining their collective talents, they have established a small production company in Brooklyn, NY.  When they can find the free time away from the daily grind they work their fingers to the bone to produce original short form content for your viewing pleasure.  See all their films on their Vimeo page and visit their website at www.quaddeuce.com

WHAT WE NEED...
 
We are going all out in this series and many talented people are lending us their skills in order to make it happen.
 
With funding we can…
 
    - Rent much needed equipment   
    - Feed the cast and crew and cover transportation for the length of the shoot
    - Be able to secure certain locations, props, and wardrobe
    - Get all the proper actors and crew on board for multiple weeks of shooting
    - Get our merchandising and marketing off the ground to promote the series

THE REWARDS...

$25 - At this level you receive the special glossy head shot of Peter Pepperson, signed of course.  Some might be 5x7, some might be larger.   Who knows.  Tack this sucker to your bulletin board or frame it.

$50 - At this level you will also receive this cool film cell bracelet made by Scott, a friend of Quad Deuce.  He likes to call them 'Film Appreciation Bracelets'.  They are all hand made using real 35mm prints.

$250 - At this level you get a t-shirt kind of like this one...

$500 or more... - At this level you will receive a hand drawn poster print of a classic film, or one of your choice (if we give you that option) =D  They are painstakingly hand drawn by our own Richard P. Wojcicki.  At the $500 level you get an 11x17, and at the higher levels you 27x40.  Here is an example of one...
