Time has almost run out on the small blue planet, and the human race has been split into two; the mutants and the clones. Nations regrouped and reformed, the United Americas and Asia Proper being two of the emerging super powers. The wars now centralize on the hoarding and stealing of DNA, the most prized commodity on earth. Countries frequently raid one another just to steal DNA samples and clones for breeding. In Asia Proper cities the bored youth have created neo-traceur gangs, organized from stories of free runners from the 21st Century. Two in particular are big in the capital Alliance, the Le Parkours and Yamakasi. Through their eyes we learn of hidden agendas, sublime plots, and schemes that may end up breaking this already fragile world.
Gene Gardens is a graphic novel about people surviving any way they can in a ruined world they didn’t create. It’s the human experience, cloned. Right now we're at 100 pages but I expect it to grow as we finish the last chapter of this book.
Jorge and I have been working on Gene Gardens since 2007 and we're almost done. It's a done-in-one complete graphic novel. We need a financial boost to help us finish this book right.
Instead of asking for donations, we are hoping that you will be part of making Gene Gardens a reality. You don't have to do anything except pre-order the book. By pre-ordering the book and purchasing extras such as buttons, stickers, and posters then we can make sure that the book you get is as great as possible.

YES! Actually all of the pledges include shipping. So if you factor in shipping then all of these pledges are less than retail. I tried to make sure that everyone who jumped in early got a deal.

No. You don't get charged unless this gets fully funded. Only then will it be charged. Then as soon as we finish we'll be shipping the graphic novel and art to everyone who ordered. That shouldn't take too long.

Writer - Shawn Granger grew up in Missouri and then worked for CNN in Georgia. He's written the fantasy/horror graphic novel "Innocent" and the science fiction, mystery comic book series "Mr. Phelps Space Detective". He's best known for his true crime graphic novel series "Family Bones"; the Gothic tale about Shawn's elderly serial killer aunt & uncle, Ray and Faye Copeland. Shawn has also written a short story for Jason May's "Rob Bot" series and worked with Stan Winston Studios to adapt Family Bones into a film before the sad passing of the beloved Mr. Winston. Shawn is still working on finding the project a new home as well developing a new webcomic series, finish a mystery prose novel, and continue to work on Gene Gardens.
Artist - Emilio Jorge Mongiovi is from Argentina and has worked on many comics for Bluewater Productions including "Rain" & "Paparazzi"; "Trailblazer" for Ramson Publishing; " La Nuit des Paras " from Editions du Triomphe; BOOM! Studios Philip K. Dick's "Do Androids Dream with Electric Sheep?".
