About this project
My name is Funmi (pronounced Foo-Me!). I am a 21 year old Baylor University graduate. I see a lot of children eating nutritionally weak foods and I want to change that which is why I created Funmi & Friends.
Funmi & Friends is an entertaining and educational show (designed for TV) that teaches children (2-6) the importance of nutrition and the benefits of physical activity. Watch the video above to see a preview of the show.
Finishing the DVD
This first episode has been deemed the “pilot”. And the pilot is indeed amazing. We filmed it back in November and now it is in post production. We need some funding to finish this up and release it on DVD! Funmi & Friends- coming soon to all the kiddos and to you of course :) Check out the rewards on the right side of the page.

I'm into film and nutrition. And I have an avid concern for teaching kids the importance of health.
I served as a Health Educator with the non profit organization, Communities in Schools from 2009-2010. As a health educator I taught children K-5 on topics relating to Health & Wellness. I've presented Funmi & Friends at Whole Foods, elementary schools, and libraries in Austin, Texas. Currently I am an intern with Synthetic Pictures, a commercial production company (Austin, Los Angeles, New York ).I received my Bachelor's degree in 2009 from Baylor University.
