This is a illustrated book of drawings I made in NYC Bars. With humorous anecdotal stories.

In 1994 I published a book called "Having a Hell of a Time, Wish You Were Here; A Drunkards Guide to the Bars of the Lower Eastside". This book will be a sequel, called "How I Spent My Permanent Vacation; Another Drunkards Guide to the Bars of NYC". These are not quite guide books, they're more of anecdotal humorous commentary on my experiences in these bars, with accompanying b&w ink drawings made on site. 

I sit in bars and draw in a small sketchbook(approx. 7" x4"). The focus of my art here is  the feel of the place, what make's it unique, decorations, atmosphere. I try to capture the employees likeness, but patrons I often make up, as they don't sit still too long. I tend to finish about 85-95% of each piece then tweek 'em at home. The stories concern my interactions with patrons and staff. I am not reviewing the establishment nor highlighting food/drinks specials, leave that to Shecky's.

It is a paperback, approximately 128 pages. I have a backcover with a contribution by Mickey Leigh (I Slept With Joey Ramone).

I am looking for money to cover the printing costs. My goal is $2500, but, the more I get, the more books I'll be able to print.
