I am raising funds to do field recordings of nature's songs which become collaborative resources for songs I compose and record onto CD and mp3 formats. Nature sounds will include lake, primordial forest, marsh, field, rock, stream and river environments of my region. As a music therapist and naturalist, I have seen exhaustive evidence of the power of nature to heal and balance humanity. I also know, too well, that these sounds are disappearing and need to be archived and responded to in a contemporary, artistic and digitally-accessible way. Think of it as nature and human in harmony!

My current iMac will be a primary source of recording, however, I will purchase a high definition microphone to capture the truest of sounds with my Mac. I will also download the latest version of Pro-Tools recording software for mixing, editing and finishing. My 3 time, award-winning producer, Marc Moss, will be a consultant during the process. I will also reach out to nature-based musicians including Paul Winter, Jami Sieber and Dohee Lee for consultation, participation and/or inspiration. Barbara Proud, my long-time CD photographer will be utilized for CD cover and website images. And webmaster Kim Wilkens will be utilized for website design and oversight once the project is realized. 

My intention is to use the wonders of technology to document the disappearing sounds of nature and disseminate them in a way that listeners can absorb - through song and image. My friends and fans will hear my signature vocal sounds as well as compelling new sounds, inspired directly from nature, composed by me and my guest musicians.
