Awkward Silence is going to Chicago, and we want to share it with everyone at USF.

The University of San Francisco's improv comedy team Awkward Silence has won a spot in the Nation College Improv Tournament. We are competing with 15 other college teams from across the country in the birthplace of improv comedy, Chicago, on March 10th.

To commemorate this event and share it with the rest of the USF community (and other interested parties) we want to put together a documentary of the event. It will cover our practice and preparation for the show, the show itself, and any other adventures we have in transit.

Your funding will go to help every aspect of this project, from production materials to making sure we have a roof over our head in Chicago.

  • Should I still donate after you reach your goal?

    In a word, please. The nature of Kickstarted is such that if we do not meet our goal we receive none of the money pledged to us. So, we set our goal low enough that we though we had a reasonable chance of hitting over a few weeks.

    We did not expect, however, the enormous show of generosity that we have experienced. Our original goal was a low end estimate, and so we would sincerely appreciate (and could use) more funding. Thank you very much, everyone.

  • What will you use this money for?

    Awkward Silence will use your generous donation for a variety of things. In addition to purchasing the materials needed to produce the DVD, we will as a team a several expenses on our trip for which we will use your donation.
