About this project
Dear friends! This is the second time that we are trying to raise funds for this project. Hopefully, this round we'll finally make it happen! So please - help us!!
We want to make a music video for a brand new Michael Shulman track "Tiger & Crane (United)." Without giving too much away (we still want to surprise you) - within the concept of the video you will see Michael dancing and there also will be elements of 'Yee's Hung Ga' Shaolin Kung Fu. The new song simply rocks and has a "tasty" solo in the middle. The song has a really nice oriental feel throughout and carries a punch in a rhythm section.
We
are trying to raise the funds as soon as possible, so we can shoot and get the video done before Christmas (it could be a nice Christmas present to the fans). Everybody in the filming crew who's on board
has pretty much agreed to participate in the making of this video
for free. The
donations that we are trying to raise are to cover all the additional
expenses that are crucial for the successful completion of the video. It
includes: a fog machine, a jib, a dolly, a professional hair & make-up
artist plus various 'hardware store' materials that we will need for the set and other expenses like transportation and catering. We are planning to shoot with a Canon "5d Mark II" camera.
We really appreciate your support and can't wait to make this project happen so all of you can enjoy watching it! We are convinced that if given a chance to realize our dream - the finished video will be amazing! Many thanks go out to everybody who are going to help in this endeavor!

Self-taught violinist and dancer Michael Shulman was born and raised in Russia. He crossed the borders to achieve his life-long dream of becoming a successful performer in Metal, Rock and Pop music. He encountered many obstacles in his path, but was able to overcome them all and became proficient in variety of musical styles. Michael is most famous for his stint in NYC subway from 2008 to 2010 where he has made a name for himself as one of the most exciting and unique performers to ever grace the underground. His original way of performing includes using various types of dance formats and martial arts together with passionate & expressive playing style to channel an outpouring of raw emotions. After many experiments and soul-searching, Michael created an original style of playing the violin - "Shred-Violin" inspired by Neo-Classical guitar Rock and Shred Metal. He also founded a new style of music that contains a multi-genre 'layers' hardly ever used in such combinations before - "Soul Metal" (most notably for the use of R&B, Funk and Soul together with different styles of Metal). Michael Shulman performed live on MTV, NBC, Fox, CBS and has been profiled in the "Strings" magazine.
