The Brohoof Podcast is a weekly podcast that focuses on the show My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, and its fandom. Along with episode discussions, topics cover news concerning the show and its merchandising, as well as community news regarding original creations (music, art, comic, etc) and other general news. The show is recorded every week over Skype and lasts about an hour, and we occasionally host live streams of our recordings as well as other online events on Google+.
The main focus of this fundraiser is for better recording equipment, i.e. studio microphones and pop filters. We mainly use desk mics and headsets, and we notice the audio quality is not what it could be, but we don't have the funds to upgrade. We're also planning to expand and hold contests occasionally for our fans, and a contest isn't fun without prizes. Prizes are also a luxury that is beyond our current budget, so every dollar will go towards better rewards for winners. There are also other things we're looking into such as editing software and domain hosting that will help better the show, but our primary goal is hardware.
