We are Thera.

Thera is a band of 5 friends that love making music. We’ve been playing together for several years and finally around four months ago moved down to Washington from Alaska to start touring more.

We are getting ready to hit the road for a two month summer tour that will include 15 states and take us from our new home-base in Seattle to nearly the Atlantic.

But right now our bank accounts are low, and we’ve already started to plan out this tour – which we’re calling “The Road Is Our Home Tour” – because that’s exactly what’s happening. We’re getting rid of our beautiful 4 bedroom house in Seattle to start touring. We started this Kickstarter to help us get off of the ground and into the world of touring musicians, and we’ve estimated that the only financial help we will need is with gas.

Our van, The Therodactyl (named appropriately by our fans), drinks about 13 miles per gallon. That’s a lot of gas. And we’ve done the math (our work is shown in the video) that this tour will take us about 10,000 miles to complete – which is approximately $2,885.00. Yowzas!

Now we need to get down to business. What do you get in return for donating your money you ask? Well take a look at the right of the website and you’ll see levels of donations. So if you give $1 or more…you get a whole facebook status update or tweet all to yourself! Want a song written by us specifically for you? No problem…just donate only $200!

Maybe you’re low on cash, and want to help out? Well - share this site on your facebook page and twitter page…and tell all of your friends about it. Maybe even start a collection fund at work, school, or church to help us out!
