SYNOPSIS
"Fetch" follows a young boy named Linney who journeys to find out the truth about this mother. Where is she? Why can't he be with her? Why has he been living with his Grandma all summer? And while Linney is determined to discover the truth about his mother, his Grandma is equally determined to protect him from that truth. Beyond deconstructing the illusions Linney holds about his estranged mother, he must also discover what "home" really means.
WHY SUPPORT THIS PROJECT
We want this film to connect with every kid out there who feels like they have a parent who is emotionally disconnected. We want this project to touch every kid that doesn't have a strong sense of home, and let them know they are not alone. We plan to do this by conveying through our main character "Linney" how to overcome the obstacle of a broken home, and be content with those around you who do love you dearly.
WHAT THE MONEY WILL BE USED FOR
This project is currently in pre-production. We plan to film in Fall 2010. All money we collect will go DIRECTLY to making this film a reality. We will use the money for camera equipment to create great looking shots, sound equipment to bring out the best from our locations, and actor/crew costs to make sure we have a group of talented people involved. We want this short film to be a high quality project that everyone who supports and works on it will be proud to show. We are seeking $5000 for our PHASE 1 pre-production efforts. If we raise more than $5000 that's even better, as we will use it during post production and to make copies of the film to send to film festivals.
