Using high-definition production techniques and engaging documentary storytelling, Luminous Journey celebrates the centenary of the travels of 'Abdu'l-Bahá in North America, the impact He made, and His prophetic vision of the spiritual destiny of America.

The story of 'Abdu'l-Bahá's journey throughout the United States and Canada in 1912 is an interesting and enlightening one to tell.

'Abdu'l-Bahá was of Persian origin, sixty seven years old, and newly released from forty years of political prison and exile. Seen by some as "Christ-like," referred to as the "Mystery of God," He was invited to journey to America on the Titanic and speak in public and private forums on topics such as world peace. 

Addressing other concerns such as racial unity and gender quality as well, 'Abdu'l-Bahá brought visionary concepts of social evolution to the United States and Canada in 1912. The son of the Founder of the Bahá'i Faith, He exemplified a new outlook that would give those He met a glimpse of the oneness of humanity and the possibility of personal and collective transformation. He also gave Americans a keen sense of their role in world change, especially related to universal peace. The stories are true--told by the people who witnessed them 100 years ago.

We are creating a documentary that strives to give an overview impression of 'Abdu'l-Bahá's visit. We have shot on location, at significant places throughout the United States and Canada, such as New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia, New Hampshire, Maine, Baltimore, Washington, DC, Chicago, Montreal, Colorado, and California. Utilizing extras in period costumes, with historic vehicles and props,we have staged visual recreations and impressions.  

We plan to incorporate animated maps, motion graphics, titles, and transitions to contribute to the sense of the history and to aspects of the physical journey.

Our original music is currently being composed in Australia and will create a soundtrack that blends western and eastern tones, and we will use a renowned audio post production facility in North Carolina to do the final mix, sound effects and audio sweetening.

We will be eternally grateful for any help and support, as we endeavor to bring this luminous journey into the minds and hearts of viewers around the world.
