ABOUT THE FILM
8:46 is a “narrative documentary” following an ensemble of characters and storylines in the days leading up to the September 11th attacks on the United States. Approaching the 10th anniversary of 9/11, this film was created to place audience members at the brink of the most heart-wrenching tragedy in American history, beckoning the message “We Will Never Forget”.
Often when people think of that day, the haunting images of the terror, the planes and large buildings being destroyed, the 2,977 deaths come to mind. This film was created to draw a more intimate, humane look at the tragic events of that day. This film is a reminder that thousands of innocent people lost their lives, and that each and every one of those people had a story. Each and every one of them had people that loved them, people that depended on them, something to live for... a life of VALUE.
As we delve deep into the world of each character we witness the terror, pain and suffering, but also the hope, tenderness, acts of bravery and compassion, and the power of the human spirit.
This film is dedicated in loving memory to all those who lost their lives as a result of the September 11 attacks. We honor the courageous men and women who gave their lives, and the brave heroes who responded to the emergency. They will never be forgotten.

We are aiming to raise $10,000 via Kickstarter to support the production costs needed to bring this film to life. 100% of funds raised will go directly into our production. Principle photography of the film is now complete, but we are still in need of additional funding to finish the film and get it out into the world! We are currently working on a very rough cut of the film, but are in need of the additional funding to make the final cut complete with stock footage, an original score, sound mixing, etc.
We have an extremely talented core team of creative's who are passionately invested in this very special project. Your pledges/donations will be used directly for equipment, editing, sound mixing, the score, stock footage, movie posters, and entry fees for film festivals. We are offering some great perks for our supporters, such as Producer credit, free tickets to the premiere, and even a meet and greet with the director and producers!!
A MESSAGE FROM WRITER/DIRECTOR JENNIFER GARGANO:
I had the idea for this film in my head a few years ago. A few months ago I decided that now was the time to turn this idea into a reality! After extensive and heartbreaking research, my ideas flooded onto paper and this moving, heartfelt story was born.
So, so many people were affected by the events of September 11, 2001. So many innocent lives were lost. Losing someone close to you is heart-wrenching... tragic. But to lose a loved one in an act of terrorism, the violent and sudden nature of the loss can be traumatizing. And thousands and thousands of people went through agony and unbearable loss because of the events of that day. September 11, 2001 will forever be remembered as one of the most devastating days in all of humanity. It is a story that has been told, and will be told again. It is a story that needs to be told. The memory of those innocent people needs to live on and thrive within us.
I did not have the means to produce this film, but deep in my heart I believed this film HAD to be made, and that NOW was the right time. And so, I set things into motion. I didn't have the funding and people told me it might not happen, but I started casting anyways. I told myself it was getting made- that it would work out... and now I am proud to say it is in the editing room! This is proof positive that with hard work and a positive attitude, you can accomplish anything!!!
But, our fight is not yet over! We are still in need of additional funding to complete the film and bring it to life in the way that I truly envision it. And so I am asking for your help! We need your support in making this important and powerful film into a reality! We cannot do it without you! So I urge you to please, donate what you can! Whether it be $5, $10, $100 - anything you can contribute helps! It truly does! Please spread the word about my film and this campaign to everyone you know (even people you don't know!). I have been so lucky to have such amazingly talented, and supportive people on board. As soon as I began telling people about the film, so many have asked "how can I help?". I am so touched by the response and willingness of people to go out of their way to make this meaningful film come to life! People have donated their time, talents, costumes, apartments and businesses for locations... I could never express how much their support has meant!
Our cast is comprised of such amazingly talented actors, who's honest and riveting portrayals of these characters were so touching and inspiring, and have lead to more than a few tears on set. Some of these actors are real 9/11 survivors and 1st responders, and I feel so blessed to have them feel this project is worthy of them.
We have an extremely talented crew. Our cinematographer, Mike Hechanova, is amazingly talented (as you can see by the trailer) and he has truly gone above and beyond what is required of a cinematographer on any project, which truly speaks volumes of not only him, but of how special this project truly is. His partner Aram "Spike" Bauman, at their production company, Urbanmouse, has also been an asset to this production, with his talent, dedication, and passion. Our entire team, from our producers: Harry Azano, Chandrakant Barai, Harry Azano, Sr., Cosmo Gargano, Kalpen Bhuva, and Jeff Quinlan, to our production team: Thomas Chaves (Gaffer), Matthew Perry Thomas (Sound), Michelle Tolpa (Key Makeup Artist), Jessica Mermelstein (Special FX), Dylan Landon (Production Assistant), Michelle Petterson (Production Intern), Jessica Hale (Production Intern), and Danielle Scarcella (Makeup Assistant) have brought a level of passion, talent, dedication and hard work to this project like I have never seen, and it is truly appreciated!!
It has always been my desire to make films that would move and inspire audiences, and beyond that, to actually make a positive difference in this world. 8:46 is a project that is extremely meaningful to me, and I believe it has the potential to do a great deal of good - not only with it's positive message, but I wish to do something more with this film...

Jennifer Gargano is a filmmaker living in New York City. In 2009, Jennifer founded Forget Me Not Productions, a Motion Picture Production Company with a focus on independent features.
The company's mission is to bring to life intelligent, character-driven stories that audiences will find compelling and insightful. Forget Me Not Productions strives to create films that touch and inspire, and to leave each person who watches a Forget Me Not Production with a life affirming, hopeful message that they will carry with them and hopefully spread onto others.
Ms. Gargano is committed to using the power of cinema to make a positive impact on people and their lives, and to do her part in making this world a better place by using her films as vehicles to contribute to charitable organizations.
In 2010, Jennifer, along with her fiancé Harry Azano, founded The Forget Me Not Foundation, a non-profit organization created to bridge the cinematic arts with community outreach and service. The Foundation's mission is to serve humanity and improve the quality of life for those who need it most. The Foundation strives to spread a message of positivity and hope, and to inspire others to do their part in making this world a better place. The Forget Me Not Foundation orchestrates events to raise funds and awareness for different charities, their main event being 'A Gala to Give' an charity Gala held each fall to benefit the American Cancer Society.
