What if . . . you could see the world differently? 

What if . . . you did more than read about romance and actually chose to LIVE a love story full of travel and adventure? 

And WHAT IF there were a global community of other passionate, women to share your journey . . . to echo your adventures . . . and discover a whole new world right along with you? 

What would that be worth? 

Kathia Zolfaghari and Dawn DeSousa imagined these questions and together created Destination Love Stories—an e-publisher of travel-themed romance novels. We believe that motivating women to literally realize their dreams through travel can transform their world. 

Why do we believe so passionately that this is true? Because that’s what happened for us.

In the process of our own world travels, we realized that literally leaving our comfort zones opened us to new possibilities, perspectives, relationships and romance we might have otherwise missed. 

We want to motivate other passionate women to realize their dreams through world travel, and we’d like to invite you to join us!

So what is our project all about? 

There are three parts to Destination Love Stories.

Part 1: E-books - Romance novels downloaded to your e-reader via the Internet.

Of course no journey is complete without a fun, flirty romance novel to pass the time as you travel—and that’s where our books provide an exotic romance of the imagination. Rich with real-life details, each love story is set in an exciting locale where Kathia and Dawn have actually traveled. Here’s an example of our book covers: 

We will launch on July 27, 2012 with three e-books, set in San Francisco, Maui, and London. The books will be available for download via Amazon, Barnes & Noble, iTunes, and Smashwords. Then we'll publish another exciting travel-themed romance every eight weeks.

Part 2: WanderLust - our Global Community of women travelers.

WanderLust will be the official online (and offline) global community of Destination Love Stories. It’s where we invite our readers to connect with other women travelers-at-large and share their stories of real-life romance and adventure through travel. As readers realize their dreams and grow, our hope is that they will go further and farther and join us in Part 3 . . .

Part 3:  Giving back to a worthy non-profit. 

Part of living a real-life love story is giving back to the world we’ve traveled with donations to a worthy non-profit nominated by our Destination Love Stories WanderLust community. This non-profit will model our values of travel, community, and love.

So how are we qualified to write these books and launch this community?  

Kathia is a successful, published romance writer under the pseudonym of Kate Perry. Dawn is a trained therapist and writer. We've both traveled extensively and share a passion for this project.

How can you help?

To make this dream a reality, we're requesting help with production costs for our digital books, graphic design, website, blog, marketing, and publicity.

With Kickstarter, it’s all or nothing. We either meet 100% our goal by the deadline, or we get nothing, so we are asking for less than we actually need to start. As we meet our initial goal we hope to set stretch goals that will allow us to create bigger and better events for our community and give even more back to the world we travel.
