About this project
So, Jane has this heart condition. It’s not the life-threatening, medical-type heart condition; it’s that nasty-yet-wonderful-at-the-same-time heart condition we all get ourselves into from time to time. You know, love. The writer (and lead actor) of “Jane’s Everlasting Heart Condition” got her heart trampled on in that way that love tends to trample on hearts and poured all of the unbridled emotion onto paper, well virtual paper resulting in this script. The best part about this project is the film has already been shot!
So why are we on Kickstarter?
Because our fantastic cast and crew survived on cheese sandwiches, rocked the house into the wee hours of the night so we could get the scene just right, juggled borrowed equipment, and weathered several rewrites because they believed in the script. Now we want to finish the film. “Finish” as in hire an Editor to edit, color correct, sound design, etc. This way everyone that worked so hard on this project will be able to see it go someplace. Where’s “someplace?” Festivals, local screenings, simultaneous coast-to-international-coast releases – you know, the basics. We are filmmakers after all, we make this stuff to get it in front of people!
Who are some of these so-called filmmakers?
Drew Pientka is our super-awesome Director. Drew is a Digital Filmmaking & Video Production graduate of The Illinois Institute of Art- Chicago (part of the Art Institutes). His hair is about as tall as he is and he likes to splice together bizarre and hilarious YouTube videos for his own amusement.
Stephanie Wyatt is our amazing Writer and Lead Actress. Stephanie has studied at Second City Chicago, iO! Chicago, N.Y.F.A. (LA), and has a BFA with an emphasis in Acting from the University of Kentucky. She’s a fiery, driven redhead who plans to laugh, write, and act her way through life.
Kelli Weber is our superstar Producer. Kelli sits on the Board of Directors of Women in Film Chicago, has an MBA in Marketing from Argosy University and a BA in Media Studies from Penn State. She is rather fond of travel and has a weakness for kittens.
So we are on here asking you to help us finish this film we’ve been working on tirelessly for 4 months (8 if you count pre-production). Whether it’s $5 or $5,000, your investment will help make our dream of releasing this film into the big-wide-world a reality.
