About this project
From award winning Director/co-writer Grzegorz Jonkajtys ("The Ark," Official Selection - Cannes Film Festival, Best of Show - SIGGRAPH 2007) and producer/co-writer Philip Koch comes "36 Stairs", a distinctive dystopian vision where humans utterly depend on bio-mechanical alteration to withstand the deteriorating climate.
Set against a polluted, megalopolis world, the tragic tale of Jeffrey Brief (Rodrigo Lopresti) unfolds; faced with the imminent loss of his crucial health insurance, Brief unwittingly unravels the dark truth behind population control that pushes him to unspeakable lengths.

The Plan:
Grzeg and I have set out on an ambitious independent short film project named '36 Stairs'. It is a film that not only presents a compelling drama/thriller but portrays a very relevant tale to todays everyman struggling to survive in a world where profit is the only value.
We are both long time filmmakers and now hope to wrap this film with your help. The entire film has finished shooting preliminary photography and we now seek further funds for such things as visual effects, ADR sound, voice actors/recording, orchestral score, distribution and keeping our many wonderful friends helping and contributing.
We plan to partake in as many film festivals as possible and with your help, win!
Our current pledge target is $6000 but we hope and pray to raise significantly more and make the film as good as we dreamt it could be at the very start, in time for the Cannes film festival.
Thank you so much!
