The Thin Gins is rock'n'roll by Andrew Fraser, Thomas Fraser, Luke McLeod, and Andrew Glover. We want to make a free album for you.
The Thin Gins is the new music project of Andrew Fraser, Thomas Fraser, Luke McLeod, and Andrew Glover. We are wanting to make an album that would be completely free online for anyone who wanted it. We have all been in bands in the past that have put out albums (which is expensive) and tried to sell them (which makes no money). As a band that is starting out, you find that it is extremely difficult to find people who want to spend money on music. So we all got to talking and decided to do this project differently. There are two options from the way we see it: Sell your album and end up splitting a couple hundred dollars between all of the members, or give it away and have exponentially more exposure at the cost of making zero profit. We choose exposure. We are a blues based rock n roll band. We have been playing together for only about a month and each of us are already very excited about the material we are coming out with. The next step is creating an album and playing live. With your support we would be able to go in to Valcour Sound Studios here in Tulsa with our friend/veteran Hank Charles behind the wheel. Upon completion of the album we will put it up on bandcamp.com and make it available to download at $0 for all who care to listen. We decided to put up a smaller goal of $1,500; if we do not make our goal we don't get a dime, so if we do in fact reach our goal just know that any money you want to give above the goal will still go towards the recording. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and we look forward to being able to supply you with a free album in the future!
