We are trying to fund our first studio album need your help!
Hey Boys and Girls!
Thank you so much for checking out our Kick Starter project. The fact that you took the time to look this up already means more than you know. We started this project because we all love country music and want to see that good country music keeps being produced. Above all though, we all love playing and want to continue to do it! Up to this point, we have been a self funded group. We are currently in the process of equipment upgrades that include buying our first trailer, getting new sound equipment and purchasing our first order of shirts, stickers and koozies. With all of this going on it is time for us to reach out to you, our fans, for help producing our album! If we do not reach the goal that we have set, then we DO NOT receive any of the money donated. So please send this to your friends, family, co-workers and anyone else you think would be interested in helping us.
Your donations help in the following ways:
Recording, mixing and mastering, distribution, printing, radio promoting and new merchandise for the album.
I have offered what I think are great rewards for anyone who is willing to help out. We appreciate your time and support!
Austin English and The Resurrection
Born in Fort Worth Texas, Austin grew up in the Austin area. While attending rodeos and dancehalls at an early age with his family, he began listening to Chris Ledoux, George Strait and Clint Black as early as age 5. The more dancehalls he attended the more his passion for the dancehall circuit grew. He learned to play guitar when he was 13. At the age of 16, he started singing and began playing at local venues and festivals. He continued pursuing music above all other things into college, and he ended up in a few projects that landed him in front of some of the music scene's biggest acts. He has opened for several people including Pat Green, Rick Trevino, Shenandoah, Stoney LaRue, Casey Donahew and several others.
Austin met his drummer, Eric Gaskamp, when he was 15 in a math class. They started playing in his parents living room on weekends. It wasn't until the following year, 2003, that they would put together a band for a talent show at their high school. They would go on to play with the band for a number of years until Eric left the band for personal reasons. It would be close to a year before personal goals and aspirations would lead Austin away to form Austin English and The Resurrection. Their first show was at The Stage on Sixth in Austin, TX. Austin called up Eric to reunite for the show. Little did he know, the show would become a huge success and they began touring relentlessly. The remaining musicians would fall into place as Austin crossed paths with them. A handful of Jazz musicians and a peddle steel guitarist would fill in the blanks.
Austin booked, promoted and performed right at 150 shows in 2011 and hopes to top that this year!
